• Rabbits are individuals, just like people, cats and dogs. They can be shy, nervous, outgoing, playful, bright, ornery, inquisitive and opinionated.
• Most do not like to be picked up and held. Most will not sit in your lap. They like you to interact with them on the ground at their level.
• Rabbits are very intelligent and need bunny toys and other mental stimulation. (See links)

We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing house rabbits who are about to be euthanized. All of our sale items go towards our extensive medical and organizational bills. You can buy an item from one of our shops or auctions, sell an item to support SaveABunny via eBay's Missionfish program, or use iGive as a gateway for your online purchases and SaveABunny will get a donation (at no cost to you!).

SaveABunny is a nonprofit organization. We rely on adoption fees, donations, sponsorship, store items, and revenue from our special services for support and continued service to the community.

Below is a comparison of the adoption fees we charge and what you can expect to pay if you are given a rabbit or buy one from a breeder or pet store. The most cost effective and compassionate choice you can make is to adopt from a shelter or rescue group and not to breed or buy.

San Francisco Bay Area

You must be local to the San Francisco Bay Area. We do not ship rabbits out of state and recommend that you adopt from your local shelter or rescue group. We are happy to help you locate adoption and rescue resources in your own area.

Sponsor a Rabbit

If you would like to help, sponsoring a rabbit might be right for you! Your donation will assist with the veterinary and medical bills of our rabbits as well as with maintenance expenses. Sponsors will receive regular updates about their rabbits.
